Historique :	Dans la nef, avant le rétrécissement du choeur, les deux retables sont dressés symétriquement en biais dans les deux angles. Autour d'une niche bordée de marbre noir et de guirlandes verticales, deux colonnes de marbre de Sablé avec chapiteaux composites portent un fronton en arc légèrement surbaissé en pierre de tuffeau de Saumur. L'un dédié à la Vierge à gauche, est orné des initiales S.M., l'autre à droite dédié à saint Joseph est orné de deux écussons ovales surmontés d'une couronne et soutenus par deux aigles.
