Historique :	Le retable était déjà privé de sa caisse et de ses volets lors de son acquisition vers 1865 par le propriétaire du château. Les groupes sculptés à l'exception de la Crucifixion, le larron de gauche et les architectures en chêne seraient d'un atelier brabançon et datent de 1440-1450. Le groupe de la Crucifixion en chêne est plus tardif et date du 16e siècle. Le larron de droite est d'origine anversoise (marque de main brûlée sur le haut de la tête) et est daté vers1520. Le Christ (au centre) a été refait dans la seconde moitié du 19e siècle ainsi que la base (bois résineux).
