Historique :	Louis Baugé, né en 1788 à Angers, fils d'un chirurgien, fut curé de Candé de 1816 à 1872 et en reconstruisit l'église. L'auteur, Jean Alexandre Coraboeuf, né à Pouillé-les-Côteaux en 1870 et mort en 1947, entra à l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris en 1891 où il fut l'élève de Gérôme. Grand Prix de Rome en 1898, il fut portraitiste et photographe.
