Historique :	Modèle en plâtre pour le buste en pierre du cénotaphe de l'abbé Mesnet, offert en 1892 par les paroissiens. L'abbé Charles Mesnet (Saumur, 1767 - 1827), fils de Charles Julien Mesnet et Jeanne Papot, refusa de prêter serment en 1790 alors qu'il était diacre à Saint-Pierre de Saumur. Ordonné prêtre clandestinement en 1796, il exerça secrètement son ministère à Grézillé et aux alentours entre janvier 1797 et octobre 1798. Fait prisonnier en 1798 et déporté, il ne rentra qu'en 1800, repris son service à Grézillé dont il devint le desservant jusqu'en 1825.
